OTs in the schools are responsible for assessing fine motor and handwriting skills as they relate to occupational performance in the schools. This webinar will cover practical information on three assessments typically used in the schools including administrations guidelines, scoring, and interpretation information.
Cynthia Haynes, MBA, OTD, OTR/L, is the Director of Occupational Therapy Services for EBS Healthcare where she oversees therapist mentoring and retention. She also designs trainings for continued competence and best practice strategies for school-based therapists. Cynthia is an adjunct professor in the OTD program at Thomas Jefferson University. She has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and presents regularly at the local and national level. She is a regional trainer for the AOTA-sponsored Fieldwork Educator Certificate Program and has contributed to the development of one training module.

Linda Okonsky, MS, OTR/L, is a Regional Director of Occupational Therapy Services for EBS Healthcare, Inc. She provides therapist mentoring, supervision of OTAs, and assists in the design of trainings for continued competence and best practice strategies for school-based therapists. This speaker has been practicing OT for more than 15 years, working with children in the clinic and school settings. She was an adjunct professor for an M.S. in Occupational Therapy program.

Julie B. Kornbluth, MA, OTR/L is an OT Director for EBS Healthcare. Her responsibilities include mentoring and supporting therapists in school districts and Early Intervention programs throughout the United States mainland and Hawaii. She is also responsible for recruitment, training, and program development. She is actively involved in EBS United, leading therapy groups internationally, and has volunteered and worked in multiple countries independently. She has presented at local, state and national conferences on school-based and cultural competency topics.
